Notebooks Ideal Experience

• My dream notebook UI at the moment -- looks like [[Smalltalk]] in a browser
  • Something like smalltalk in terms of managing code
  • Online, launch in a browser --
    • potentially clone locally
    • or run on a powerful remote server with good hardware
      • the VM needs to be persisted correctly
    • or run on a local server / locally available hosting
  • Much more flexible UI
    • code editing pane, where I can pull up functions I care about
    • don't care about any file system
    • source control is automated
